These delightfully simple canapés are shamefully easy to make but extraordinarily delicious to eat – perfect for nibbles at your drinks party or an informal starter.
Method
Remove any damaged leaves from the chicory. Trim the base of the chicory and remove the individual leaves and arrange on a platter.
Mash the Roquefort and mix in half the finely chopped walnuts. Fill each chicory leaf with a teaspoon of the cheese mix, then a teaspoon of the Apple & Cider Brandy Chutney and a sprinkling of nuts over the top.

200g Roquefort cheese
3 tbsp finely chopped walnuts
